Michael takes a holistic approach to financial planning, understanding that each component of a client’s financial life is interrelated. As such, Michael coordinates financial decisions with a client’s team of professionals, including CPAs and attorneys, to ensure prudent, efficient and effective financial strategies are being utilized on behalf of each client – strategies that are customized to fit their unique needs and goals. His practice is focused on serving high-net-worth individuals and families as well as consulting on business retirement plans. Michael works closely with a client base consisting of business owners, high-level executives and medical professionals, advising them on all aspects of their financial lives.
Michael has extensive experience in the field of finance and has been a financial advisor since 1994. After graduating from The College of New Jersey with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, Michael began his career in public accounting before establishing his financial advisory practice. Prior to co-founding Mill Ridge Wealth Management, Michael served as a wealth management advisor with both Merrill Lynch and Smith Barney, having built a successful practice focused on comprehensive wealth management for his clients.
A graduate of the financial planning program at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Michael earned his Certified Financial Planner® certification in 2002. He has been a frequent contributor to financial planning and investment-related articles in the NJ Star Ledger, as well as many industry trade publications. Michael makes his home in Long Valley, New Jersey, with his wife and four children. He volunteers his time to local organizations and professional groups, applying his business acumen as a speaker and consultant.
