With more than 28 years of experience in the financial industry, Jeffrey takes an individualized approach to wealth management. Before proposing a custom-designed financial plan, Jeffrey’s team meets with his clients to discuss a wide array of topics, including financial goals, insurance issues, work, family and lifestyle. As part of his comprehensive approach to wealth management, he discusses client taxes, IRAs (savings and/or income needs), portfolio allocations, debts and mortgages, business succession plans and estate planning. He builds meaningful connections with clients based on trust.
“Our mission is to be the bridge between where our clients are and where they wish to be,” he says. “The goal of our team is to work with each client to design a number of choices that allow them to pursue their most important objectives while offering a full array of services to meet their needs.”
His interest in finance began in sixth grade when he was a paper boy for a local newspaper. His father, then an IBM executive, gave him assignments from time to time to write stories about articles he would cut out of the paper’s business section. “From those days, I knew that finance was the area of business I wished to work in,” he says.
After working his way through school and graduating from Villanova University in Pennsylvania, he started his career as an advisor in 1991 at J.B Hanauer & Company. He then spent 16 years at Smith Barney, meeting the needs of clients as a financial consultant and senior vice president. He later joined Morgan Stanley in 2008, where he formed The McDonald Group and remarkably served clients for 12 years. In 2020, The McDonald Group decided to start their own company (GreenBridge Wealth Management) and affiliate with Raymond James.
Jeffrey has been happily married to Barbara since 1998. They have two children, Ryley and Charlsie. Their family is very active in helping raise funds for Ruth Eckerd Hall, Morton Plant Mease Foundation, Random Acts of Flowers, RCS (Blue Jean Ball), Character GPS, and Habitat for Humanity, to name a few causes. As a family they try to give back and help others improve their lives – from a recycled flower to helping find a new passion and, in some instances, a new family. Jeffrey enjoys reading, taking online courses, fishing, exercising, golfing, skiing, gardening, swimming and long walks on the beach with his family.
Raymond James is not affiliated with any of the organizations listed above.
